Here are the key steps as you make your decisions: |
REVIEW YOUR FOUR-YEAR PLAN
Beginning your Freshman year, you started to develop a long-term plan of coursework that included both required courses and those courses that interest you. Review your plan and think about revisions you might make.
REVIEW THE COURSE GUIDEBOOK
The Course Guidebook provides an overview of all of the courses available at Neuqua Valley and the requirements for each.
REVIEW YOUR GRADE-LEVEL COURSE SELECTION SHEET
Each grade level has a guide for courses recommended for, or available to, each of the four grade levels.
Choose the grade level you are moving to next year.

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOUR SCHOOL COUNSELOR
Your School Counselor is an excellent resource after you have reviewed both your Four-Year Plan and the options available in the Course Guidebook. Contact your Counselor as needed to set up an appointment from now until January 27.
Counselors are also a great resource for Four-Year Plans, Schoolinks, Dual Credit, AP classes NCAA Eligibility, and post-high school planning. View their sessions from Academic Planning Night.

PREPARE FOR COURSE RECOMMENDATION DAY
Course Recommendation Day at the high school is Monday, January 11. One of the best ways we can support you is to provide guidance in each of your classes about the options that exist in that department the following year. Courses are often best taken in a certain order or sequence. Your current teachers will walk you through options on this day.
For the incoming Class of 2025, each High School Department Chair will be presenting over two nights: January 12 and 13. LEARN MORE.

EXPLORE OUR ELECTIVE COURSES
We have many opportunities for you to pursue your interests and passions. This year, our Elective Fair will include a short video for each of our Elective courses presented by a teacher that teaches that course. These will shared and be available for viewing starting on January 12.
