STATE TESTING DAY: March 8, 2023

On Wednesday, March 8, we will be having a State Testing Day in order to accomodate the Illinois Science Assessment for all Juniors. On this day, there will be two important things happening:

JUNIORS

ALL JUNIORS are required to take the Illinois Science Assessment. This is a required State of Illinois test that evaluates the Science knowledge of high school Juniors.

Students will report at the regular school day start time and be dismissed around 10:45am after all assessments are complete.

For important information about this test, all Juniors should GO HERE.

FRESHMEN, SOPHOMORES, & SENIORS

All other students are eligible to be invited to an opportunity to complete missing work, makeup assessments, or get additional teacher support.  There will be two support periods:

FLEX BLOCK A (7:30-8:50am) and FLEX BLOCK B (9:00-10:20am)

In advance of this day, we have identified specific students in need of this type of support.  These include:
  • Seniors not on track to graduate
  • Freshmen currently failing 2 or more classes
  • Any student missing significant work
  • Any student a teacher identifies and is in need of extra support

Beginning March 2, and continuing through March 7, we will be contacting individual families about these invitations.  If we contact you, it is critical that your student attends on this day.

★ FLEX BLOCKS give every Freshman, Sophomore and Senior the chance to have NO MISSING assignments or tests.

ALL MORNING BUS ROUTES for both Main and BFC will operate as normal.  Busses will run their afternoon routes around 10:45am, or after the ISA has concluded.
